We are open to the public Tuesday to Sunday 10am – 4pm.
We are closed every Monday including all Bank Holiday Mondays, as well as Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day.

Do I need to book to visit?
All organisations must book and pay in advance. Individuals and families can pay on the gate.
Please contact us before your visit to check availability and book.
If you are visiting with a school, educational group or volunteer group please contact complete an enquiry form and we will check availability for you
What does it cost to enter?
Entry fees for members of the public are £3.50 for everyone age 3+. Family day tickets are £12.50 for 2 adults and up to 2 children.
Entry is paid on the gate.
Registered professional carers/ registered childminders go free – professional ID must be provided to gain free entry.
Can you feed the animals?
Yes you can purchase food on the day to feed most of the animals. You must not feed them your own food.
Do you have a car park?
Yes we have a car park onsite however this can get very busy.
The best place to park is in Brabyns Brow public car park and follow the riverside walk to the farm entrance and make your way to the entry payment kiosk by the cafe.

We do have some Disabled Parking spaces for Blue Badge Holders only. These are subject to availability.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, you can bring your dog as long as they are well behaved and not reactive. They must be kept on a short (not extendable) lead at all times. They must not be left unattended or tied up at any time.
Please be aware there are large areas of the site that dogs cannot access. These include the riverside walk where the animals roam free, the guinea pig and rabbit areas and our second playground area. Please bear this in mind when deciding whether to bring your dog.
What animals live at The Garden House?
A variety of animals live at The Garden House, including Goats, Alpacas, Chickens, Pigs, Rabbit, Ducks, Geese, Guinea Pigs, Shetland Ponies and Donkeys.
Our animals live their lives out at The Garden House spending time free roaming. You can meet our Pigs, Alpacas and ponies most days along the Riverside Walk!
Many of our animals have been rehomed and rescued. Some of them have been raised from eggs by our volunteers.
Please be aware that we are not a petting zoo or animal park. Be aware that animals can bite. Children must be supervised at all times on site by a parent or guardian.
Do you have a Cafe?
There is a social enterprise cafe, Riverside Cafe and Icy Bar onsite. It is usually open 11am – 3pm Tuesday to Sunday. It is mostly outdoor seating.
There are picnic benches and seating areas across the farm.

What organisations do you work with?
We work with a wide variety of organisations across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, including charities, schools, trusts and local authorities. We work with like minded organisations to improve the lives of young people facing barriers to progression.
Can I volunteer with the animals?
Only if you are a registered participant on our ELEVATE programme, or you are on a work experience placement with us.
