The Garden House is a volunteer-led charity and we regularly welcome members of the community and local businesses, who contribute their time, energy and skills in many areas including animal care, grounds maintenance, gardening, planting, and customer service.
Any vacancies will be advertised here.
We don’t have any regular volunteer vacancies for working with the animals.

We proudly support young people undertaking DofE programmes and can offer placements towards your volunteering skills requirements.
Corporate Volunteer Days – #GetInvolved
Would your work team like to join us for a volunteer task day? A great opportunity to spend time together and make a difference in your community and support your Corporate Social Responsibility aims.
Corporate Volunteering days enable the charity to complete seasonal projects and tasks that we don’t currently have the budget for.
A minimum financial contribution of £250 is required from your organisation and we have plenty of tasks – with wet and dry options just in case!
We welcome individuals or groups of up to 12 volunteers, with dates available March to October, Tuesday to Thursday
The Riverside Cafe and Icy Bar will be open 11-3 for your team to purchase snacks, drinks and lunch.
